چکیده

We report on 3D printing of artifacts with a structured, inhomogeneous interior. The interior is decomposed into cells defined by a 3D Voronoi diagram and their sites. When printing such objects, the slices the printer deposits are topologically the same and change only locally in the interior. The slicing algorithm capitalizes on this coherence that minimizes print head moves that do not deposit material. This approach has been implemented on a client/server architecture that computes the slices on the geometry side. The slices are printed by fused deposition, and are communicated upon demand. Data-Driven Material Modeling with Functional Advection for 3D Printing of Materially Heterogeneous Objects

We present a data-driven approach for the creation of high-resolution, geometrically complex, and materially heterogeneous 3D printed objects at product scale. Titled Data-driven Material Modeling (DdMM), this approach utilizes external and user-generated data sets for the evaluation of heterogeneous material distributions during slice generation, thereby enabling the production of voxel-matric...

Developing a BIM-based Spatial Ontology for Semantic Querying of 3D Property Information

With the growing dominance of complex and multi-level urban structures, current cadastral systems, which are often developed based on 2D representations, are not capable of providing unambiguous spatial information about urban properties. Therefore, the concept of 3D cadastre is proposed to support 3D digital representation of land and properties and facilitate the communication of legal owners...

Electrical Energy Demand Modeling of 3D Printing Technology for Sustainable Manufacture

The advent of 3D printers has been embraced globally within few years of its emergence. The surge in the acceptability of rapid manufacturing RM technology can be attributed to the depletion and cost of natural resources, waste reduction and sustainability criterion of manufactured parts. This rapidly evolving 3D printing technologies is predicted to grow exponentially especially for the manufa...

Query Architecture Expansion in Web Using Fuzzy Multi Domain Ontology

Due to the increasing web, there are many challenges to establish a general framework for data mining and retrieving structured data from the Web. Creating an ontology is a step towards solving this problem. The ontology raises the main entity and the concept of any data in data mining. In this paper, we tried to propose a method for applying the "meaning" of the search system, But the problem ...
